🔧 Driving Careers Forward: Inside Try Easy's TETA-Funded Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme
Empowering Future Diesel Mechanics — One Apprentice at a Time
At Try Easy Electrical Solutions, we don’t just train — we transform futures. This year, through a powerful partnership with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA), we’ve proudly launched a diesel mechanic apprenticeship programme designed to close the skills gap and drive employment in South Africa’s transport and logistics sectors.
Currently, a cohort of talented apprentices is enrolled and thriving in the programme — and their progress reflects the true impact of combining quality training with industry-aligned funding.

About the Programme
The Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme is fully funded by TETA, giving eligible learners access to:
These apprentices are not just gaining knowledge — they are actively learning how to service, maintain, and repair diesel engines used in trucks, buses, generators, and heavy machinery.
“Diesel mechanics are the unsung heroes of logistics, mining, and public transport. This programme gives our youth the chance to become that backbone,” says a Try Easy Facilitator.
A Partnership with Purpose
Through Transport Education Training Authority - About TETA funding support, Try Easy is able to provide training that is not only accredited and employer-aligned, but also accessible to learners from under-resourced backgrounds.

"I discovered the programme through an advertisement I saw on social media. It immediately caught my attention because it spoke directly to me interest in technical training. I knew right away it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss." – Charmaine
"I used to help my father work on cars. That’s when I realized I have passion in the male dominated industry — and now I am a step closer to becoming a qualified artisan." says Charmaine
Outcomes That Matter
The apprenticeship is part of a national strategy to produce competent artisans who can meet the demands of South Africa’s industrial and transport sectors. Upon completion, learners will:
Try Easy is committed to following through — offering post-programme support to help learners enter or advance within the workforce.
