Apprenticeship Programs

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships integrate theory, practical work and workplace/ on the job practice in a chosen trade field, and in the case of a listed trade ends in a trade test and an artisan certificate of competence commonly known as the Red Seal. The purpose of apprenticeships is to develop trade-specific skills. In South Africa there are several industries that desperately need skilled artisans.

We offer accredited apprenticeship training in various trade fields, aiming to equip individuals with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to excel in their careers. Our apprenticeships are regulated by the QCTO and NAMB, ensuring that our candidates receive the highest quality training.

We provide apprenticeship programs in the following trades:

  • Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship
  • Panel Beating & Spray Painting Apprenticeship (Auto Body Surface Repairer and Spray Painting Workshop Assistant)
  • Welding Apprenticeship
  • Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Plumber Apprenticeship

Through our partnerships with TVET colleges, we also offer apprenticeships in the following areas:

  • Boilermaker
  • Fitter and Turner
  • Transportation/Auto
  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Motor Mechanic

We also provide trade testing, allowing individuals to obtain the Red Seal Certificate and gain recognition as qualified artisans.

Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL)

Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning is a process and evaluation conducted at an accredited trade test centre which measures a candidate's level of conceptual, theoretical knowledge, work related technical and personal skills in order to facilitate access to process to access to a trade test and certification as an artisan. An ideal product for most employers who have experienced technical employees with no formal artisan qualifications. ARPL process is regulated in terms of Trade Test Regulations, 2014 published on 8 May 2015 under the Skills Development Act, 1998 (ACT 97 OF 1998). In order to qualify, the following requirements apply;

Construction Services

CONTACT FOR QUOTE

Our expertise extends to offering comprehensive construction services for both industrial and residential needs. We specialize in:

1. Fault finding

Fault Finding is the investigation of the cause of malfunction in machinery, especially electronic equipment. Work organization and self-management, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, flexibility and a deep body of knowledge are the universal attributes of our professional electricians. The following is a concise list of typical faults that are the most common causes of a circuit ceasing to operate correctly:

  • Loss of supply
  • Earth fault
  • Dead short
  • Incorrect protective device in place
  • Defective components
  • Breakdown of control circuits
  • Reversed polarity
  • Initial faults on newly installed work
  • Phase rotation

2. Electrical installations

The fixed electrical installation is the electrical wiring, electrical machinery and electrical components that are fixed to a building. Installations includes:

  • fuse boxes,
  • solar panels,
  • generators,
  • ceiling lights,
  • power sockets and
  • large items of machinery termination.

3. Installation and servicing of distribution boards

We also specialize in assembling, fixing of main distribution boards and wiring of complete single and 3 phase installations for domestic, industrial and commercial clients from various sizes.

4. Complete solar solutions

Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics

(PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power (CSP). As the cost of solar electricity has fallen, the number of grid-connected solar PV systems has grown into millions and utility scale solar power stations with hundreds of megawatts are being built. In partnership with our associates Mzansi Solar Solutions and Reinvent Energy, we offer complete solar power systems and solar power products with comprehensive accessories for:

  • Commercial & industrial applications
  • Private residential buildings
  • Public buildings
  • Agricultural applications
  • Business
  • Stand-alone off-grid installations
  • Investors
  • Solar panels
  • Inverters
  • Batteries
  • PV Mounting parts

Choosing an effective electrical solar solution is a two-way investment. Firstly, it helps you to save on your monthly electricity bills by reducing or eliminating electricity retailer charges. Secondly the system adds value to your home or industrial building; you can expect to enjoy a higher sale price due to your property's solar energy system.

5. Certificate of compliance

Certificate of Compliance" means a certificate with a unique number obtainable from the chief inspector, or a person appointed by the chief inspector, in the form of Annexure 1 J and issued by a registered person in respect of an electrical installation or part of an electrical installation; or a certificate of compliance issued under the Electrical Installation Regulations, 1992. We issue COC's for buildings and projects such as hospitals, petrol stations, hazardous environments, laboratories, shopping malls, factories and warehouses, all AC and DC installations, any and all industrial, commercial and domestic electrical installations.
